Hey Boo Hey,
Today is all about me time, gratitude, and planning—aka Self Care Sunday!
Let me share how my day started and how I use this time to reflect on the week behind me and prepare for the one ahead.
✨ My Morning Routine
My morning kicked off at 4:00 AM—yes, that early! By 5:00 AM, I was already at my mani and pedicure appointment. LOL, I know—5 AM might sound wild to some, but while most of the world is still sleeping, I’m working on ME.
From there, I hit the ground running:
Went food shopping and prepped meals for the next four days for myself, my children, and my parents.
Picked up laundry and cleaned up around the house.
Confirmed my plans for the week ahead to stay on track.
By mid-morning, I felt like I had conquered the world because I started with self-care for myself first, then cared for others.
✨ Reflecting on My Week
This past week was incredible. Even when I felt like the odds were stacked against me, I stayed focused on gratitude.
Let me tell you—gratitude is my superpower. Whenever I feel like I’m not where I want to be, I shift my focus to being grateful for how far I’ve come. It changes everything.
As a nurse leader, planning is essential. Balancing personal and professional responsibilities requires strategy. And for all my single parents out there, you know how crucial it is to have your days planned out so that, in case of an emergency, whether at the office or at home, someone else can step in and help seamlessly, simply because you had a plan!
✨ Why Self Care Sunday Matters
Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. By taking care of yourself first, you’re better equipped to care for others.
Sundays are my reset button, where I prioritize myself, reflect on what went well, and adjust for the week ahead.
Now, I’m here feeling amazing because I’ve accomplished so much today. I’m ready to tackle the week with clarity, gratitude, and a solid plan.
So tell me, boo—what was your day like? How do you incorporate self-care and reflection into your week? Don’t be shy—I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
Let’s thrive together! 💖
