I’ve officially been in Houston for two weeks, and let me tell you—this past week? Whew! It wiped me out.
I was sick and barely able to do much. My bestie, though? A real one. She made me homemade ginger tea that worked wonders in my recovery. 🙌🏽
But today, I finally woke up feeling human again. I went for a walk, cleaned my room, and changed my sheets.
It reminded me how important it is to rest when our bodies demand it. Trust me—it’s easier said than done.
Every day, I tried to get up and go about life as usual, only to end up ready to pass out. Lesson learned: Rest is productive too.
Adjusting to a New City: More of an Introvert Than I Thought?
This week, I realized something about myself—I might be more of an introvert than I like to admit.
Or maybe it's just the fact that I’m in unfamiliar territory. My bestie works nights, so I’ve had to navigate things on my own. And if there’s one thing about me—I’m going to find a way.
Speaking of figuring things out… Houston weather? Absolutely beautiful. But guess what? I packed like I was still living on the East Coast.
Most days, I walked around looking homeless, while my bestie twirled around in a sleeveless sundress.
Naturally, I responded in the most mature way possible: gave her the finger and told her f*ck you. 😂 (No hard feelings, though. Kinda.)
Waiting, Hustling, and the AI Takeover
I’m still waiting for my Texas nursing license to process so I can start working here.
In the meantime, as Big Worm from Friday would say: "I got to figure out how to get this money by tomorrow!" 😂
So, I’ve been focusing on growing my online business and learning more about AI. One thing I know for sure—AI is taking over.
If you’re not learning it now, you’re going to get left behind.
The Journey, Not the Destination
Do I have it all figured out? Absolutely not.
But that’s the beauty of it all.
I had to let go of What if it doesn’t work out? and replace it with But what if it does?
It’s the journey, not the destination.
It’s the story, not a finished book.
So, here’s to figuring it out—one day, one lesson, one step at a time. 🚀
